Silverado is a name we all recognize as the go-to choice for reliable power in a pickup. The 2025 Chevy Silverado EV continues a long legacy of excellence while building on it with the modern efficiency of an electric powertrain.
The Electric Performance
GM has their own proprietary battery platform that works wonders in the Chevy Silverado EV. Not only have you got the power to tow up to 12,500 lbs and get from 0 to 60 in just 4.5 seconds, but you’ve also got up to 460 miles of range. There are two electric motors sitting on either axle, which gives you automatic 4WD capability and up to 760 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque with Wide Open Watts.
Off-Roading Prowess
Not only have you got that 4WD, but you’ve got access to instantaneous torque. This makes climbing steep slopes and rock walls not just easy but also safer: there’s no hesitation when you call for more power. There’s also an available four-wheel steering system if you want to be able to maneuver even better, and the available Four-Corner Air Ride Adaptive Suspension keeps the wheels on the ground, the ride height where you want it from moment to moment, and everyone in the cab comfortable.
All the Driving Range
As already stated, you get up to 460 miles in the Silverado, which beats just about all the EV truck competition. Chevy puts some special range-conserving tech in this truck, too, like Regen on Demand so you can recapture kinetic energy when braking to recharge on the go and a range reserve feature to limit how much energy accessories consume when you don’t need them.
Bidirectional Charging
Charge up at home, use one of the more than 250,000 public charging stations across the country that you’ll have access to, and get up to 100 miles of range for every 10 minutes you’re plugged in with a Level 3 charger (and 40 miles with a Level 2). But that’s not all. You can also reverse things and use your Silverado as a battery to power your home with the GM Energy Vehicle-to-Home Enablement Kit. With a fully loaded battery, you could potentially power your home for up to 21 days.
Super Cruise
With the Chevy Super Cruise tech on your truck, you’ll be able to take a break during those long hauls. Using a combination of adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, automatic lane change, driver attention monitoring, GPS, and several other features, the system can go into semi-autonomous driving mode on available roads. While you still need to keep an active eye on things, you’ll be able to take your hands off the wheel and reduce the strain of a long drive.
